18th Symposium of the Support for African/Asian Great Ape (SAGA18)

The 18th Symposium of the SAGA will be held from November 14th-15th, 2015 at Kyoto City Zoo. On the first day of the symposium, Dr. Steve Ross is scheduled to give a lecture entitled 'The Chimpanzee Species Survival Plan (SSP): A cooperative management program aimed at improving the lives of chimpanzees in U.S. accredited zoos.' Dr. Ross is the Director of the Lester E. Fisher Center for the Study and Conservation of Apes at the Regenstein Center for African Apes of Chicago's Lincoln Park Zoo, and the Chair of the Chimpanzee Species Survival Plan (SSP). Therefore, the lecture must be informative and incredible opportunity for PWS students who aim to be a specialist of conservation or/and animal welfare to fulfill their own dreams. The lecture begins at 4:10 P.M. and ends at 4:50 P.M. Additionally, Professor Juichi Yamagiwa, the President of Kyoto University, will give a lecture. Don't miss it!
